years of flower farming
Armed with advice from local grower, Linda Doan, I started planting lisianthus, which continue to be one of my favorite blooms and still grow to this day! In the five years that I've been growing flowers I've learned so much about making the soil healthy and it’s truly one of most important things about growing lovely blooms.
The thought of being a flower farmer never occurred to me, even after we purchased 50 acres of land in Sullivan County. That is, until I found information about flower farming from Floret Flower Farm. So, I did as Erin from Floret said – “just plant something in the ground!”.
